Vera Lu
Vera Lu is a conductor from China. She is assistant conductor of Seven Hills Symphony, and the founding conductor of the ensemble Orchestra Speaks, which received the CCM Harmony Fund Award in 2025. She has been the Ludovic Morlot Fellowship Conductor at the Pierre Monteux School. She conducted Coppélia with CCM Ballet in 2025. She has also conducted Die Zauberflöte at the Miami Music Festival in 2022. She is completing her Bachelor of Music at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. This fall, she will join the Glover-Edwards Conducting Programme at the Royal Academy of Music, and will participate as a semifinalist in the 6th International Orchestra Conducting Competition ‘University of Almería’.
